Clarification about Named User Licenses

Hi,

SAP B1 licenses are named user licenses. I am not quite sure on the meaning and its implications even after reading multiple documents on multiple sites.

I have a few questions with respect to SAP B1 9.1:

1. A company has 2 Limited Financial licenses. They will create 4 users in the system, and assign the licenses to the 1st 2 users. However, sometimes they want to assign the licenses to User 3 and User 4, so the administrator will remove the license from User 1 and User 2 and assign to User 3 and User 4. Is it allowed? Of course, User 1 and 2 will not be able to log in now, which is not a problem.

2. In the above scenario, instead of reassigning the licenses, if User 1 and 2 tell their password to User 3 and 4, so User 3 and 4 can log in using the credentials of User 1 and 2 without reassigning the licenses. Is it allowed? Of course I understand that it may not be a good practice to share the passwords as the data ownerships and change log can not be traced accurately or will be incorrect.

Thanks.

I am asking these questions strictly from the point of view of legality as per SAP licensing policy so as not to fall into any trouble in an SAP audit; so please do not answer like it is best to buy 4 licenses, etc.
